Trish Russell joins Avenue 1 Real Estate with over forty years of experience owning, purchasing, selling, and managing commercial real estate and over five years brokering residential properties. After coordinating an extensive 1031 exchange in 2012 where she traded one property for twelve properties in four different states it was obvious the next step was to become a real estate broker. She accomplished this in 2015 after moving from California to North Carolina. 

Trish’s “day job” in California was that of an elementary school teacher for twenty-five years. She holds a bachelors of arts degree in liberal studies with a minor in psychology, a masters in teaching, and held teaching credentials in California in K12 education and supplementary credentials in upper level math and English, plus a certificate in gifted education. Here, in North Carolina, she held teaching credentials until 2016.

As a retired teacher, and having a long time second career in real estate, brokerage became a full-time endeavor. With Trish’s love of learning becoming a broker-in-charge was the next step. She now offers her years of experience along with her continual energy to learn to Avenue 1 Real Estate, an exciting new adventure.
